BUCHAREST, KOMPAS.com - The volunteers included British ambassador to Romania, handing out hot soup and clothing to the homeless in Bucharest, capital of Romania. It is estimated there are about 5,000 people living and sleeping conditions in the country's plight. Though winter again gripping.
AP news agency on Thursday (20/12/2012) reports, conditions of the homeless makes them sick and died at risk from exposure to cold. Last year was reported about 300 homeless people in Romania was killed by cold and pain.
Dozens homeless in Romania receive hot soup, tea and coffee in the temperature of minus 5 centigrade outside derejat train station Gara de Nord. This location is a favorite place for the homeless to sleep in Bucharest, a city of two million inhabitants.
Official charity, Ian Tilling, said the purpose of the action was to raise awareness of the difficult experiences of the homeless, especially in finding shelter and food. It is a basic right of every human being.
