China: Visit the parents, and this command!

                            

BEIJING, KOMPAS.com - Visit your parents. It's an order!

That's roughly an order laws in China which was amended on Friday (28/12/2012). This law requires citizens to "often" visit their parents. If not, prepare them brought to justice.

However, the amendment does not specify how often a person should visit his parents.

Chinese state media say, this provision allows parents who feel abandoned by their children filed a lawsuit to court. The amendment was made following an increase in reports of children wasting their parents.

Rapid growth in China pose a new problem, namely the lack of attention of the citizens against the parents. Market reforms over the past three decades accelerates the breakdown of traditional family ties in China. Related to this, there are several alternatives, such as a nursing home or retirement home for parents who can not live alone.

Earlier this month, local media reported about a 90-year-old grandmother who had lived in the pigsty for abandoned boy brothers. Grandma was living in Jiangsu province which is located in the prosperous Eastern China.

Media is often reported stories about parents who squandered by his son. There is also a story about kids who attempt to take ownership of illegal parents.

Population of parents in China reportedly raised related elevated life expectancy, from 41 years to 73 years, for five decades. It is also supported by national policy that restricts parents have more than one child.
