Nokia Will Cut 300 Employees

                            

HELSINKI, KOMPAS.com - the largest mobile phone company in Finland, Nokia, will cut 300 employees in the near future. The move comes as the global restructuring efforts. Restructuring is necessary for the efficiency of the production costs.

It is part of the restructuring program, which has been published since June 2012 and, according to Nokia, as dikutif AFP , Friday (18/01/2013). In June last year, the company said it planned 10,000 job cuts in late 2013 amid cost overruns. The goal is to make cost savings.

After leading in the mobile phone market, Nokia has been losing market share as consumers move to smartphones , which was driven by Apple's iOS or Google's Android operating system.

Company has become company's number one mobile phone maker in the world for more than a decade. But Nokia loses title because pursued by Samsung.
