MEXICO CITY, KOMPAS.com - Noe Hernandez, Mexican athlete who won a silver medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics fast road, lost his left eye and is in critical condition after shot in the head at a bar, Monday (31 / 12/2012).
Carlos Castillo Rangel, the surgeon in charge of Hernandez, said the man was 34 years in a serious but stable condition after being shot in the left side of his face.
Hernandez was was in the night club "Queen of Kings" in the State of Mexico on Sunday (30/12/2012), when three armed men entered and shot flames pushed bar patrons.
Office of the Attorney General State of Mexico said the shelling killed two people, while three others suffered serious injuries.
Hernandez sports secretary for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), which ruled in the State of Mexico, is undergoing surgery after being shot three with 9mm bullets.
