CAIRO, Kompas.com - Opposition Egypt on Saturday (01/26/2013) threatened to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections, when President Mohamed Moursi not find a "comprehensive settlement" to the crisis that hit the country it.
National Rescue Front (NSF), a coalition of the major parties and
movements against the ruling Islamist group, called for the formation of the government "national salvation", and said that in addition to that it "will not participate in the next parliamentary elections.
The statement came as Moursi facing the worst crisis since he took power in June. The clashes in the city of Port Said canal left at least 22 dead, a day after nine people were killed in clashes between police and protesters anti-Moursi.
NSF condemns death in a so-called "new revolutionary wave" and asked Egyptian people to protest peacefully.
He said he called for the formation of a new government of national salvation, the committee judges to amend the constitution is considered "zero" and the shooting of attorney general appointed by Moursi.
If these conditions are not met "in the coming days," NSF "will call for the Egyptian people staged a protest on Friday to lower the constitution" and called for early presidential elections.
An Islamic constitution prepared was adopted in December, but the opposition says the constitution fails to protect important rights of citizens.
