strong BEIJING, KOMPAS.com - A survey performed Hurun magazine published by China, Thursday (28/02/2013), called Asia as the continent with the most billionaires, followed by North America and Europe.

Across the globe, there are 1453 people with a net worth of one billion dollars or more per January. Of that number, 608 billionaires in Asia, 440 people in North America, and 342 people in Europe.

If that number is broken down again, then there are the largest number of billionaires in the United States and China with the number 408 and 317 billionaires, followed by Russia, Germany, and India.

Predicate richest people in the world still held the king of communication Mexican, Carlos Slim (73), with a personal fortune reached 66 billion U.S. dollars.

In the meantime, the U.S. investor, Warren Buffet, and founder of fashion brand Zara, Amancio Ortega, of Spain, ranked second and third world's richest people. The wealth of these men amounted to 58 billion dollars and 55 billion U.S. dollars.

If all their billionaire's all combined, then the numbers will be in the range of 5.5 trillion dollars, or equal to the value of the economy Japan last year.

Hurun Magazine added, real estate, telecommunications, media, technology, and retail businesses are the resources most commonly owned by the billionaire world.

Head of R & D Magazine Hurun Rupert Hoogewerf said the actual number of millionaires is likely to reach three times the current rate. Because, most of them tend to hide their wealth.

"Some hide his wealth as illegally obtained. Others did not want to show their wealth, "said Hoogewerf.
