Fundraising, man is biking from China to Singapore
SINGAPORE, KOMPAS.com - 5,000 miles is not a short distance. However, Lim Wee Yin prepared a distance it looks hideous to raise funds.
This man expressed ambitious plans for a bike ride from his native China to Singapore. The trip starts from Guizhou through Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and ends at St. Joseph School, Singapore.
Lim will wade trips for 50 days from 28 April to 16 June. This ambitious agenda is not done for mere pleasure.
Lim plans to use the trip to raise money for an orphanage Assisi in Singapore.
Director of production planning in a machining company is targeting to raise up to Singapore $ 200,000 (about USD 1.6 billion).
Sponsor company, donated a generous donors, and aid his friends become the main source of funds is expected.
"There are a lot of children orphaned need help and they also suffer with all kinds of diseases and other limitations. I try my best to help with and give back to communities in need "he explained.
Father of three children are not concerned with the journey. Although it is the age of 57tahun, stamina is still very fit.
Lim accustomed cycled 30 km differing going to and from work, a routine that has been done during the last dasarwasa in China.
And this trip is not the first long distance trip him. Earlier, with his friend, in 2004, Lim cover 10,000 miles over 100 days from Beijing to Singapore to raise funds for cancer patients.
His wife, Charlotte Seng living in Singapore said he was very touched and proud of her husband's generosity . He plans to fly to Guizhou to provide moral support.
