Indonesian Day 2013 Held in Egypt
CAIRO, KOMPAS.com - Two Indonesian designer, and Ida Royani Itang Yunasz Wednesday (27/03/2013) night held a fashion show ( fashion show ) in page Embassy in Cairo, in the event of Indonesian Day 2013.
In the event, also displayed a variety of richness of Indonesian culture which is reflected in the dance, crafts, clothing, and traditional music. Shown on the occasion several arts groups from students and Indonesian students in Egypt.
They show Gending Sriwijaya dance, dance Pendet, Jaipong dance, dance Gebyar Batik, Zapin dance, dance Rapai Geleng, flute and harp music. Dai Nada akapela arts groups also look stunning and get warm appreciation from the audience.
Since the early evening the visitors were directed to visit Bazzar culinary, crafts, and clothing, are held around the Embassy courtyard. Indonesian businessmen who are obeying the exhibition in Cairo International Fair (CIF), also hold merchandise in Indonesian Day 2013.
On the occasion, Ambassador, Nurfaizi Kelvin, in his speech hoped that the wealth of art and culture in Indonesia are presented in Indonesian Day 2013 to give the impression for the audience, and make them closer to Indonesia.
Indonesian Day 2013 was attended by approximately 500 visitors. They are the ambassadors, Egyptian officials, diplomatic circles, businessmen, friends of Indonesia, and the media.
The occasion, Brigadier General Ibrahim Harb, Director of the Foundation for Orphans in Giza, Egypt, while giving a speech, expressing deeply apreasinya on the initiative of Indonesia in providing care to children who can not afford in Egypt. Ibrahim Harb also said that Indonesia is the first foreigner to come and give santuan led to the foundation.
