Singapore most innovative cities in the Asia Pacific

                            

SINGAPORE, KOMPAS.com - Singapore again rewarded for. AsiaOne reported on Friday (22/03), State Merlion was crowned as the most innovative cities in the Asia Pacific region.

Research conducted by the consulting firm Solidiance put Singapore on the other major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, and Auckland. The development of city land is really fast. Within a relatively short period of 40 years, Singapore was transformed from a small trading port and financial center of the world-scale technology.

Six categories to be an indicator of this research, namely human resources, education and research, technology, culture, global integration, and policy government. Singapore became a champion for the indicators of global integration.

Compliments filed for English fluency is high, high global competitiveness, and environmental concerns and a strong pemeliharaa. Lowest indicator is a culture where there is still a high number of complaints against censorship by the government, such as the news and movies.

Damien Duhamel, managing partner for Asia Pacific Solidiance praised Singapore as the country's powerful, fast, and successful. But he added, adaptation to changing global conditions that need to be maintained.

This research studied 16 cities in Asia Pacific. Duhamel adds, this ranking is likely to change next year considering the very thin gap of 0.03 points separating Singapore, Sydney, and Melbourne. South East Asia, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur placing at number 9 and 12.
