Iran Denies Illegal Immigrants Kill Afghanistan

                            

TEHRAN, KOMPAS.com - Police Iran, Monday (13/05/2013), denies murdering a group of Afghans who entered Iran illegally.

"We have not confirmed the report," said the deputy commander of the border troops Colonel Hamd Sharghi respond to news media outlets.

Sharghi said, there is no related news on the Afghan border killings were reported to him and confirms the news is wrong.

Earlier, on Sunday (05/12/2013), the Afghan government summoned the Iranian ambassador to protest the killing of 10 Afghan citizens by Iranian police as they tried to enter Iran illegally.

The illegal immigrants that-according to the Government of Afghanistan, was shot dead on Friday (10/05/2013) at approximately 200 Afghans trying to enter Iran from Lash Wa Juwayn district in Farah province.

Thousands of Afghans entering Iran's territory in illegally each year to find work. Approximately 2.4 million Afghan refugees and illegal immigrants-lived in Iran. Most of them go to Iran pascainvasi Soviet Union in 1979.

In December 2012, Afghan protesters tried to attack the Iranian consulate in Herat to protest alleged killing of Afghan migrants by Iranian security forces.
